DKIM, which is an abbreviation for DomainKeys Identified Mail, is a validation system, which obstructs email addresses from being forged and email content from being tampered with. This is done by attaching an electronic signature to every email sent from an address under a specific domain name. The signature is generated on the basis of a private cryptographic key that’s available on the outbound SMTP server and it can be validated by using a public key, which is available in the global DNS database. When you order one of the cloud hosting plans that we offer, the DomainKeys Identified Mail functionality will be enabled by default for any domain that you register under your hosting account, so you will not have to set up any records or to activate anything manually. When a domain is added in the Hosted Domains section of our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel using our MX and NS resource records (so that the emails related to this domain will be handled by our cloud web hosting platform), a private cryptographic key will be issued momentarily on our mail servers and a TXT resource record with a public key will be sent to the DNS database.
